The night you take the crib rail down is a bigger moment than anyone warns you about. This twin size Montessori floor bed in white makes it an easy one — low to the ground, fenced on all four sides, with a working door small enough for a toddler to open on their own.

Is a floor bed actually safe?

It's the first thing most parents ask us. A floor bed removes the fall risk of a raised frame — there is nowhere to fall from. This one adds four uncut 21.5" fence rails on every side, plus a door that opens and closes, so your child stays settled but can still get out independently when they're ready.

The frame is solid pine with a centre support bar and holds up to 250 lbs — enough for you to lie down beside them for a bedtime story without the frame flexing. Assemble fully before use, follow the included instructions, and supervise as with any children's furniture.

Will it fit the room?

The footprint is 77" long x 41.5" wide — about 6'5" x 3'5", roughly the same floor space a crib and a changing table take up side by side. It stands only 21.5" tall, so it sits below most window sills and keeps a small room feeling open. The white finish bounces light around, which helps in a room without much of it.

Takes a standard twin mattress up to 6" thick, dropped straight inside the frame. No box spring, no bed base. Mattress not included.

How hard is it to put together?

About 20 minutes, one person, with the hex key in the box. It ships flat with all hardware, numbered parts and step-by-step instructions. No cutting, no drilling, nothing to source separately.

You have 30 days from delivery to request a return. If anything arrives damaged, incomplete or incorrect, we cover the return shipping and make it right — send us a photo and we'll sort it. US orders ship duties paid, so there is nothing to pay when it arrives.
